I had been studying Cabaret Bellydance for years, and when I fell into Tribal/Dark Fusion I found a kind of dance that suits me very very much, that gives room to my creativity.
Gothla.it is an ambitious project, that has the purpose to bring this style to a larger audience, not only to people who love a certain kind of music and a certain kind of outfit. Dark Fusion has a tremendous expressive power, and that is the message we want to bring.
If we European look at the United States as the source of techniqe and inspiration for Bellydance in general, I think that Europe can contribute very very originally... ;)
In this adventure I have two companions, (and I feel it is not by chance that they both have a name that means "Joy")...two women whom I feel very close to me, although they have a completely unique personality. I thank them for all their support and patience...:)

I would like to thank the "Muse of Dance" for meeting Silviah. Our friendship started because of Bellydance, and has been growing though our expressive languages started to go in different ways..
Silviah found her dimension in the strict rigour of Fusion Bellydance, when I love the energy of Classical Bellydance: the fact that we go in different directions has given us the pleasure of a richer confrontation, instead of creating barriers between us.
During one of our "chats" about our different views, Silviah told me about her project: being the one to bring Gothla to Italy.
I was instantly enthusiastic, and I embraced the idea from the very first moment: now I see this project as a big chance to learn and see different points of view, not only for Tribal and Tribal Fusion Bellydancers, but also for dancers who are more "traditional bellydancers", like me.
I think that it is necessary to be open to everything that is "different from us", to grow as people and as dancers: that\'s why I cannot wait to know each one of you, and to share the energy of this wonderful adventure with you!
See you soon!

I asked Gioia to write something about us, about our dance, about Gothla.IT....but she is too shy for it.. ;)....so I will be the one to write something about her, about us... :)
Gioia and I share more than one passion: she loves her dance, and has a lot of new ideas on music, choreographies...Her imagination is always at work, and she visualises troupe formations and sequences that are very interesting and original..
She is totally in love with her cat, whom....despite her feline nature...has been named "little mouse"...:)..I am so lucky as to know her...and apparently I am one of the few people that can get near her without her running away..
Gioia is also an enthusiastic graphic designer, and she is contributing immensely to the creation of this website.
Gioia and Gioia taught me the beauty of creating things together, whether it was a dress, a choreography, a project. I learned that things taste completely different when they are made TOGETHER.
Here is what she says:
"Gioia Layali was one of the first people I met when I started Bellydance. We met in a sporting club a looong tim ago, and we have neve been apart since.
I started to know Silvia since 2009, but I have been knowing her in a long time. I have always admired her as a dancer and as a professional...now I know that she is a wonderful person, and the fact that I can be of help in this amazing adventure makes me very proud."
